PixelLoadout does not operate a physical testing laboratory. We do not run in-house latency probes, colorimeter benches, pressure-mapping rigs, or accelerated wear tests. When we recommend a product, that recommendation is the result of editorial research — not proprietary measurements.

Our recommendations are built on official specifications, manufacturer documentation, consensus across established expert reviewers, verified user feedback, brand reliability history, warranty coverage, compatibility, feature completeness and value for money.

We believe an honest editorial approach is more useful to readers than invented lab results. When you see the PixelLoadout Score, it reflects a transparent evaluation of criteria that any reader could, in principle, evaluate for themselves — not private benchmarks.

Every product we score is evaluated across a category-specific set of criteria. Typical criteria include ergonomics, specifications, features, build quality signals (materials, warranty length), verified user sentiment, value for money and compatibility with the reader's likely use case.

Each criterion receives a 0–10 rating based on our research. The published PixelLoadout Score is the weighted average of those criteria — the weighting reflects what matters most in that category. We use 0–10 (rather than five stars) because it gives us room to differentiate products that would otherwise cluster.
